Lagos Diverts Traffic for Road Reconstruction at Anthony Village

The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion plan following the commencement of reconstruction works at Anthony Village Bus Stop. The Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, disclosed this in a statement. According to him, excavation works have commenced at the bus stop as part of efforts to provide a lasting solution to the section of the road that has suffered repeated damage from heavy rainfall.

He explained that the affected portion of the road would be reconstructed using interlocking stones to improve its durability. To enable the project to proceed safely, the state government announced a temporary traffic management plan for motorists using the corridor. Motorists travelling from Fadeyi and intending to access the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway through Anthony Village will not be able to use the route for the duration of the project.

Similarly, motorists planning to use the Anthony Village Bus Stop service lane to connect Oshodi have been advised to avoid the route and remain on the expressway before connecting through an available road further ahead.
