NMA Threatens Nationwide Strike Starting Thursday

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has issued a final warning that doctors across the country will embark on a nationwide strike starting Thursday, July 24, if their demands are not met.

NMA President, Prof. Bala Audu, stated that the strike stems from the Federal Government’s failure to act on a 21-day ultimatum over revised allowances deemed inadequate and inconsistent with prior agreements. A planned follow-up meeting was postponed due to the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
