British actress and activist Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, has been banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding in Oxford.
Watson, 35, was fined £1,044 ($1,400) after her Audi was recorded doing 38 mph in a 30 mph zone. She did not appear in person for the hearing. Coincidentally, her co-star Zoë Wanamaker also faced a separate speeding charge that same day.
