Ahead of the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled for Thursday, the presidency is reportedly undecided on who should succeed Abdullahi Ganduje as national chairman.
Although Senator Tanko Al-Makura was initially touted as the anointed candidate, sources suggest that religious considerations may block his emergence. The NEC is expected to confirm Bukar Dalori, Deputy National Chairman (North), as acting chairman while a substantive replacement is sought before the party’s special convention in December.
